Over the past week I learned about User Personas---fictional users whose goals and characteristics represent the needs of a larger group of users.
The course provides a PowerPoint template to create our personas. The prompts are helpful but as I started to fill in information, I felt that the default colors and layout weren't aligned with my users' personalities.
I spent a joyful couple of mornings experimenting with colors, fonts, and layouts to craft two unique templates for my personas. (I'll post the personas to my Portfolio page later.)
This exercise is awakening my dormant creative side. More than 20 years ago, I created a dozen or so quilts. Mostly for friends as milestone gifts, but I kept one crazy quilt for myself ('crazy' is the design style). I pulled the quilt out of storage this morning and it's making me smile.
